Candidate privacy notice

Privacy in this build.

This notice describes the downloadable private candidate as implemented. It is not a final public-hosting policy.

What the candidate does not include

• No account creation or child profiles.
• No contact, newsletter, upload, comment, or payment forms.
• No advertising pixels, session replay, affiliate tracking, or behavioral analytics.
• No third-party checkout embedded in the site.

Local browser behavior

The page-motion preference may be stored in the browser’s local storage. The optional coloring activity keeps its changes in the current page session and clears them when the page reloads. The candidate does not send those coloring choices to a server.

Hosting review still required

A public host may create ordinary security or access logs. The selected host, retention, processors, and final legal contact are not supplied in the current source lane and must be reviewed before public release.

Children’s privacy

The site is written primarily for grown-ups choosing children’s books, but its subject matter and visuals can attract children. Public release therefore requires a deliberate child-directed-services and data-collection review; a label alone does not decide the issue.
